Spotting Cricket Activity Near Home
Crickets damage fabrics and create distracting noise. We seal gaps and treat nests to silence them.
Common indicators that crickets have entered your home include:
- Hearing persistent, high-pitched chirping sounds that intensify at night
- Finding irregular holes chewed into clothing, upholstery, or curtains
- Spotting large, jumping insects in cool, damp areas like basements or laundry rooms
- Discovering adult crickets congregating around bright outdoor light fixtures
- Finding small piles of fecal matter that resemble black pepper on floorboards
We inspect your property, seal all entry points, and create a custom plan to keep out noisy crickets.
Indoor cricket control
Your home is protected from crickets by LaJaunie's standard perimeter treatment. It forms a treated barrier—granular bait and residual sprays at the base, doors, windows, eaves and shrubs—blocking cricket entry and harborage. A 5‑ft outward granular band and base-of-home residuals sustain the barrier against cricket re-infestation between quarterly perimeter services.
You get a home with fewer cricket interruptions and no prep before your visit. Cricket control is included in the standard service plan and backed by a re-treat guarantee.
How we stop cricket problems before they spread
-
How we work
Our cricket control process begins with a detailed inspection of your home's perimeter, as our local pest experts identify where these noisy pests are getting in, a common issue during the warm, humid Louisiana fall.
For the pest removal itself, we apply a protective barrier treatment around the base of your home.
For example, we use a specialized granular bait that extends five feet out from the foundation, effectively stopping crickets before they can find their way inside.
To ensure lasting relief and effective long-term pest management, we also treat potential access points like cracks, crevices, doors, and windows, creating a comprehensive defense that lets you enjoy a peaceful, quiet home again.
