Signs You Have Mice
In fall, mice in New Orleans often slip indoors through gaps as small as a quarter inch, following wall voids and utility lines at night while staying hidden near insulation, cabinets, and attics during the day. LaJaunie’s Pest Control knows how to catch mouse activity early by tracing these travel routes and identifying subtle entry points before a small problem spreads through the home.
Common indicators that mice have entered your home include:
- Finding rice-sized droppings inside pantry corners, under kitchen sinks, or along garage baseboards where mice travel close to walls.
- Hearing light scratching or quick scampering sounds in attic insulation, behind drywall, or above ceilings after dark.
- Noticing a sharp ammonia-like urine odor in enclosed spaces such as cabinets, closets, or under appliances where mice are nesting.
- Discovering gnaw marks on food packaging, cardboard storage boxes, or plastic pet food bins in pantries, garages, or laundry rooms.
- Seeing greasy rub marks or narrow runway paths along baseboards, behind stoves, or near pipe penetrations where mice repeatedly squeeze through.
For mice control, LaJaunie’s uses its Plus Rodents service with strategic rodent bait station placement, attic inspection and treatment, Maki Paks in attic areas to draw rodents away from wiring, and baited glue traps indoors to remove remaining mice. We inspect attics, garages, utility penetrations, rodent trails, droppings, chewing damage, and likely access points so the source is addressed and your home returns to a protected, pest-free sanctuary.
Residential Wildlife Control
Your home is protected from mice by Maki Paks in the attic, baited glue traps indoors, and rodent bait stations placed where mouse activity is found. This system draws mice away from wiring and intercepts movement along active routes. Coverage extends through attics, interior spaces, and key entry zones.
You get a mouse-free home without surprise repeat costs. Your mice service includes ongoing coverage for $49/month after a $199 initial visit, so mouse problems stay handled continuously.
How our technicians handle mice in your home
-
How we work
Our pest management process begins with a thorough inspection, as our local pest experts know that warmer fall weather in Louisiana often sends mice looking for ways into your home.
After identifying activity, we handle the extermination with care; for example, we will strategically place baited glue traps indoors and use Maki Paks in the attic to draw mice away from important wiring.
To provide lasting peace of mind, our mouse removal treatment includes placing rodent bait stations around your property's exterior, creating a protective barrier that is monitored through our ongoing service so you can feel comfortable in your home again.
