Spotting Hornet Nesting Activity
Hornets build hidden paper nests in fall. We locate and treat these nests before colonies expand.
Common indicators that hornets have entered your home include:
- Spotting a small gray, papery envelope or solitary comb tucked under eaves, porch overhangs, or inside attic soffits.
- Finding repeated worker traffic and focused foraging flights to a single point along the roofline, gutter, or attic vent during daylight hours.
- Noticing a steady, low-frequency buzzing coming from wall voids, attic spaces, or behind soffits that intensifies when you stand beneath the suspected nest.
- Discovering multiple dead or stunned hornets on window sills, light fixtures, or near exterior doors after evening activity, indicating a nearby colony.
- Waking up with a fresh sting or finding sting marks on exposed limbs after an open window or attic access, suggesting indoor entry or a nearby nest.
We carefully treat hornet nests, check your roof, and ensure a secure, sting-free home for your family.
Complete nest removal
Your home is protected from hornet nests and hornet activity through direct hornet control using Waspfreeze or Bifen. These products stop hornets at the nest and on contact, breaking activity before hornets can keep using the structure. Protection extends to eaves, overhangs, and exterior nesting points up to 25 feet high.
You get hornets handled before they keep you from using your entryways, porch, or yard. Seasonal hornet service gives you ongoing relief, and technicians can reach nests up to 25 feet high.
Our Process for reliable and consistent hornet control
-
How we work
Our local pest experts begin with a careful inspection to carefully identify and locate the nest, a critical first step as hornets become more aggressive in Louisiana during the warmer months of October.
For the extermination, our technicians use full protective suits and apply professional-grade products like Waspfreeze directly to the nest, ensuring complete pest removal even for nests built high up on eaves.
To ensure your family can enjoy your yard again, we complete the job by removing the treated nest and can discuss ongoing pest management strategies to prevent hornets from returning, giving you lasting peace of mind.
